Dreadlocks...

Ive wanted to lock up my hair for as long as I can remember, don't know weather its thanks to my step dad (whom I see as my father), who has had dreads for as long as I can remember. It could even be genetic, as apparently my biological father also locked up his hair when he was younger. What ever the reason, it was thanks to my employer that I finally decided to begin the journey of dreading my hair, as apparently my hair locked 'unkept' and 'unprofessional'. Rather than keep plaiting or braiding it around once a week to keep it looking fresh.

What I'm here to bitch about is, !!PEOPLES IGNORANCE!! (well..... usually is anyway). 

Yes you can wash your hair!

No you don't have to be black

No you don't have to stop eating pork WTF!!

No it can never be done over night

No you do not need to be a 'rasta'..... as if you know what that means anyway.

At the end of the day, its just another hair style. Once finished or tightly formed they can be very easy to manage, just as easy to wear as long hair. If you wish to believe there is some mystical....ness about growing dreadlocks, fine go ahead that's your choice. !!BUT DO NOT!! in a quiz show quick fire round, ask me questions or make false statements about growing dreadlocks! If you know so much about it already why then ask me a question about it!!

If I have to have another conversation, debate or argument regarding dreadlocks again I full on swear I'm gonna ...... Write a bigger post about this!!

On top of all of this due to peoples ignorance allot think negatively about dreadlocks, and this obviously can make living within this 'society' slightly more !!LONG!! I don't bother you about your hair, I don't ask what products you put in it, I don't care if you treat it in any way, unless of course I ask you, but I will ask you in a respective manner.... Please do the same.

News

I often watch the news in the morning before work. Today I wish I hadn't! What was on the BBC breakfast news? !!SOAP OPERAS!! That's right they dedicated about 30 minutes of Britain's main news channel to 'soaps'. Apparently some European politician (Clearly with too much time on his hands) stated that Coronation street is too raunchy for kids! WTF!! KIDS DO NOT WATCH SOAPS!! If they do they are not paying much attention to them, just listening out for the ending theme music so they know when to hide as its bed time after Eastenders (well that was me anyway). I cannot believe that the BBC think this to be news! IT IS NOT! They are just backing up the worlds stereotype of British people, soaps are that important to us its on our national news...... They even had a couple of writers and media experts on, WTF why pay those dude to sit on the news show and chat shit about coro, eastenders, and that farm one!!? Show me the weather instead, or perhaps they could have used that slot for some light news to cheer people into their day.....? 'No! you must take in bad or upsetting news, irrelevant news, or watch us try to fill empty space cos we have ran out of news' is what they would answer.

Yupp its another that I will no doubt be repeatedly ranting about!

This is one has the country split. Like Marmite, you either love or hated the royals, well also you could just not care I spose...

With this 'Royal Wedding' recently, which even managed to overcast Easter, came a massive show of support from all over the world for the royals. This annoys me! The rest of the world can fuck off for all I care on this one, the royals don't affect them. If you want to support the royals, go right ahead, but don't get moody with me if I choose not to, and if you ask me my views on them don't get upset when you don't like what you hear..... why ask me my view if you are assuming I will have the same opinion as you......?

To me they are no better than  the people we hate most in the UK, they live of tax money, but what do they actually do for us? They don't even have to stand in queue to sign on! All they really do, that makes any difference, is back up the rest of the worlds stereotype of us British.... bad teeth, talk a bit dicky, ignorant, etc... Yea, thanks.

Its been a week since the wedding and they're still forcing it down my eyes and ears! I only recently learned how to tolerate the news in the morning (I hate how everything seems so one sided, when does an un biased view come into it?), but after having to watch all that shit I'll stick to starting my day with Friends thanks.

What the 'relations' is up with people!

'Whats your facebook?' .... Do you not see whats wrong with that question.... no? Shouldn't it be

'Do you have a facebook?' Okay I had a MySpace, and a Bebo...... yes I am a current facebook user (Nt evn 2 promote dis garbage either..... i simply use it..... I no, Im deeply sorry) but come one now, why do people have to be so obsessive!!? Whats worse is that no one realises how obsessive they're being! They see nothing wrong in posting some crap every 5 minutes, as if its their to narrate their very standard lives!

I use facebook for what one would assume it was created for..... to keep in contact with close ones. I don't even use it for that, I only contact people I cant in any other quick way. If I have your number, you'll sooner get a text message!! Now I've justified myself....

Do not dare try and tell me you use facebook to 'express' yourself! How the fuck is that expression. You are simply typing and clicking away! Where's the 'yourself' in that!? People express themselves in different ways.... yes. But show me the expression through facebook..... what? ...... you cant? You can just show me drunkard pictures of last weekend, and the weekend before that?

People don't understand how much this facebook is taking over their lives. If you have made it through to here, please remember what you read next well.....' Facebook started as a social networking website'. Say 15 years from now that will be as shocking as 'Nintendo started with selling playing cards'. Tesco has started taking over the fucking world, if you don't find it strange that a company can now be, grocers, petrol stations, banks, department stores, Internet providers, mobile phone networks, insurers, all in one, you need to slow down a little. Tescos now just do what they want, soon so will facebook. The problem is facebook has, pretty much, a social network monopoly. Young, old, straight, homosexual, black, white, asian, WHATEVER would all use any service, or at least would place more interest than normal in, that had 'FACEBOOK' slapped on it somewhere.... You know this to be true!

I really don't understand..... people get caught cheating on facebook, people get slandered on facebook, you come across pictures of yourself that you would rather not be on the Internet on your 'freinds' pages, i see no reason for facebook if we all have mobile phones! All it has done is made us less social...... real social.

!!FUNNY STORY!! Many years ago (when i was still a blind secondary school student) I created a page (not on facebook, but the same principle applies) that appeared to be for a 24 year old, stereotypically attractive female........ waaaaiit, im not finished! I then succeeded in getting a topless picture of some absolute TWAT sent by himself! I obviously strolled around school the following day showing and explaining to everyone who would listen just how I came about such pictures (It was the fact that the dooch was posing like a bitch that made it funny).

!!LESSON TO TAKE FROM THE STORY!! Don't bait yourself up on facebook or any site for that matter. Don't let it consume your life, you'll end up looking a fucking prick! One little fuck up could go down and all of that data facebook holds could go anywhere!!

What's up with people these days!!? Especially you girls!!? Yes going out, 'on the piss' can be fun (personally I don't think so...) but why do I have to put up with the whole 'the morning after' crap! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!!

I DON'T want to know how many 'fit/hot/choom (you get my drift) girls/guys you saw, are there no attractive people out in the day?

I DON'T want to know how many 'fit etc... people 'came on to you', they probably just smiled politely on the way to the loo!!

I DON'T want to know  who had a fight with who, this is only because you'd blatantly be exaggerating

I DON'T want to know how hung over you are, it keeps you quiet... just try to enjoy it!

I DON'T want to hear how your never going out drinking again, your a weekend alcoholic and are going to be until around 25, this is when you find yourself in AA or whatever group there is.

There is something wrong with you if you are 20+, working, still living at home, going every weekend, and thinking its acceptable.

You may think starting work at a later time than usual would be nice, NO! You sit around watching the clock more than when you at work! As if at your window watching a huge dark storm cloud slowly drifting towards you, knowing when it reaches you have to go outside and stand in the downpour for 8 hours!
